Dark Tidings...
The Rebel
operatives make it to the Nebula where they are to meet the Command ship called
Home and the rest of the small rebel fleet. They have a rough time going through
the Nebula due to interference from the Nebula to their comms and sensors. Part
way through they pick up a damaged Grtroc freighter that is sending out a
distress call. Not picking up any other ships on sensors, they head closer to
give the damaged ship assistance.
As they draw near, Janus senses a dark
disturbance in the force coming from the ship ahead of them. The party's ships
back off and attempt to run as two Light Corvettes are picked up on sensors. The
one makes it's way towards the damaged freighter while the other chases the
rebels. Both have transponders deeming them as Imperial ships. The three ships
split up in hopes of getting away. Pep and Camara, aboard the Imperial Transport,
end up with the Light Corvette chasing them.
With some quick thinking on
Camara's part, she dumps a bunch of explosives and grenades into a cargo
container and jettisons it behind them, then remote detonates it as the
Corvette passes by it, blowing it up. Meanwhile Janus pilots Pep's ship as a
flight of 12 Ties close on him and Amanda who is in the slave ship. One of the
Ties is actually an Interceptor being piloted by the Dark Jedi Janus sensed
earlier.
Between the two freighters, they manage to make short work of the
other ships. But the Imperial Inquisitor manages to heavily damage the slave
ship. Only some tricky piloting and shooting on Janus's part manages to save
them. He shoots the wing of the Tie causing it to spiral out of control and away
from them. They quickly lose sensor contact with it due to the
Nebula.
Eventually they manage to make it to the meet up point and dock with
Home. There they meet Major Lawra Merrs, who will be their commanding officer,
and handle assigning missions to them. Also they are congratulated for bringing
in two more ships for them, plus a large load of Imperial grade weapons and
slaves.
