There's Gonna be a Jailbreak Tonight...
On the way back to deliver the generators, they recieve an
encoded transmission from Major Merrs telling them to
detour to Planet Helkio for another assignment. On planet
everyone else splits up to do shopping while Janus and Pep
go meet their contact, who turns out in fact to be Doc
Wylds.
Doc chats with them while they wait for the others to
arrive, and then fills them in on their mission. A high
level rebel opertive was taken prisoner by the Imperials
and it's their job to break him out. He's being held on
planet Refrax, which is an Imperial supply depot. He will
soon be shipped out to Courscant for interrigation and
eventual execution. And oh yes, it's Taren.
The party prepares to break Taren out, painting the ship in
a coating of stealth paint, and readying their weapons.
They arrange to meet Doc in space in a system near Refrax
with Taren's ship, and then they head off to break him out.
They land on Refrax and decide to use the Imperial
stormtrooper armor they got of the dead, back when they
captured the weapons ship. Along with it, Camara had two
sets of her old uniforms, which her and Amanda use. Gentle
is cuffed and used as a "Rebel that blew up our speeder".
Between their disguises and Janus's liberal use of the
force, they manage to dupe the guards to let them in.
They find Taren and manage to break him out while Amanda
distracts the two officers who are watching the monitors.
She manages to twist them both around her finger and sends
them off for a drink for her. Once gone, she pulls out her
flask, takes a sip, then upends the rest into the console
panel.
With Taren free, they quickly go out using the same cover
story as before; but now, with Taren and Gentle in some
stormtrooper armor they took off of two guards that they
stunned in the cell block.
They manage to get off planet and meet up with Doc who has
Taren's ship. On the way to the meet up, they ran another
search of the ship, and finally figured out how the
Inquisitor had been tracking them. They discover a homing
beacon hidden in a part of the engine. They contact someone
in the Alliance by the name of Castile who helps them to
figure out that it was Major Merrs who put the bug there,
using dna and prints taken off the beacon and matched to
her medical record.
Taren takes the beacon and tells them of a planet he knows
where they can lay low for a bit. Home. He also informs
them that he will use the beacon to give the dark Jedi a
good chase around the glaxy for a week or so. He tells them
that he'll meet them on the planet in two weeks, because he
wants to talk to them about going with him to Coruscant of
all places.
